The system is ERP based. The logic was developed based on years of experience working in legacy systems and identifying areas of enhancement to ensure quality, quantity and safety is upheld at the highest degree. The level of precision in which recipe yield is calculated by the system results in exact nutrition content, cost control and reduced waste. The calculations completed in the ML system are unparalleled in the market.
Inventory Management provides for par, balance on hand and perpetual tracking protocols on an item-by-item-basis. Stock Take/Stock Requisitioning is also available. Products are received, distributed and forecasted automatically and in return the adjusted balance on hand is calculated along with the inventory value. There are an unlimited number of storage locations which are supported with min/max item assignments.
Inventory Bar Codes are available to automate inventory, receiving and floor stock management. ML accommodates an unlimited number of SCC, UPC and Custom Bar Code Assignments to each item.
Offering multiple types of menus that can be supported simultaneously in the program: Selective, Room Service, House, VIP, Cycle, Restaurant, Acute, SNF, LTC, Bedside, Mobile, Television or by Phone. The system will automatically assign menus based on age, diet, diagnosis, tests, surgery, nursing station, physical limitations etc. to ensure the most digniﬁed engagement with the patient and their family. Guest/Attendant meals can be auto-assigned to the patient or ordered a la carte.
The system supports all menu types such as cycle-select, house non-select, on Demand Room Service, Bundle, retail, catering, kiosk, restaurant, etc. Selections are entered at the patient bedside on a tablet PC, via Call Center or Auto-generated by diet/ward/no order made. Unlimited diet/diet combinations, allergy and medication restrictions are automatically controlled for each patient’s needs to ensure the highest level of safety and dietary compliance.
On-Demand Room Service allows for patients to place orders through a call center or at the bedside on a tablet PC for delivery at specified times. House and Non-Select trays are auto-generated for those patients that do not make selections.
Designed to independently manage Inventory, Forecasting, Purchasing, Receiving, Storage, Distribution, Production, QA and HACCP while constantly monitoring and adjusting requirements across all work areas ensuring operational consistency. Production Management allows for the standardization and communications for item processing and staff assignments for each meal period. This is accomplished by default assignment of production areas at the inventory and recipe level. These assignments can be revised as needed at the recipe and menu level matching the item to the menu for the associated service period. This logic ensures that the right item is prepared and delivered to the right area at the right time. The system will generate a production schedule including scaled recipes for each position in the department. This approach allows any worker to cover any shift as they are provided with the detailed instructions for their daily responsibilities without the need for additional management oversight.
On a daily basis, the System takes into account a never-ending stream of data input continuously validated against millions of operational data elements. This results in producing the right amount of food at the right time for the right patients.
Exports a vast amount of information to any database, MS or pdf format. Integration with down-stream, third-party, vendor, supplier, POS, retail, catering, infotainment, concierge, MOW, HR and HIS systems are all compatible. Menu logistics includes a vast array of standard reports tailorable for each client supplemented by the in-built report writer. Inbuilt Report Writer enables users to generate any report parameters over any date range through an intuitive user-friendly interface. This allows for deep analytics which will help any operation identify and leverage information to improve services, processes and ultimately increase the corporate bottom line.
Digitally tracks patient satisfaction for each menu offering through a user friendly 5 star rating assessment. After the conclusion of a meal, food service reps use the system to interview patients in person, over the phone or the patient can complete their 5 star rating digitally through a TV monitor, tablet or smartphone. The reps simply review the patient's past order and choose the number of starts selected next to each menu item served. Analytic reports are available to showcase the data. This allows the department to determine the overall satisfaction of individual recipes and meals, which will then be used to make changes to the menu to ensure satisfaction levels remain high in preparation for annual surveys.
Digitally monitors and manages communications with staff from the moment the order is placed, through tray pick up. Capturing all the steps in between, this tool is essential in ensuring precision throughout the service times of the department as well as during initial training of new employees. Automates the entry of “one time” and “standing orders” for special event services. Events can be created from a set of standard menus or a la carte. Orders are automatically updated into the Purchase Order requirements for timely delivery and updated into the associated Production Schedules. Billing can be cost-charged to cost-centers or interfaced to the Finance Department.

Supports all retail areas within the hospital. Pre-built Retail Menus are available within the system and can be customized to meet hospital needs and/or can be created from scratch. Cycle and a la carte menu service options are configurable in the system.
Retail Kiosk/Remote Meal Ordering is available for self-serve ordering at designated workstations/monitors located within a retail operation or, accessed through customer account log-in for staff to place orders from their office.
Retail Menu Displays are available for menu items, portion size, costs, allergy and nutritional information configurable within the parameters of the selected hardware. This module requires and EDI interface.
An “Anywhere, Anytime Menu” that can connect to the internet from any device to place orders for delivery or pick up. Users are able to manage their account, check balances and track nutritional ratings. This component is available as a standalone option. Advance ordering is available in all scenarios.
Staff can order personal meals or catered meals from their office or at a kiosk from the cafeteria, deli or coffee shop. Patients and guests can order snacks, gourmet meals and guest trays from their in-room television monitor or smart phones. In addition, the System provides an ideal solution for Meals-On-Wheels programs.
A la carte orders can be placed where the system provides “Smart Prep Time Logic” to inform the customer when the order will be ready for pick up.
Management Control gives you the option to allow staff, vendors, MOW participants, guests, patients and ad hoc customers to access the system for one-time orders or to establish an account with automatic payment profiles. The Anywhere-Anytime Menu System provides POS functionality or it can be interfaced with any POS System.
Fully automated in the Menu Logistics System. Dialysis Service Meal Management automates the delivery of uninterrupted meal service for patients scheduled for dialysis. Patients are able to be served in the dialysis clinics or for tray delivery to be coordinated for service upon return to their room. The system eliminates the need for a discharge/readmission order from the HIS. Any schedule of multiple service days; daily, every-other day, thrice weekly etc. can be easily accommodated. Patients are provided with In-Patient diet order protocols during their Dialysis Procedure that support their care plan. ML processes a specialized Dialysis Admit/Discharge Protocol for Out-Patients making these patient records available to clinicians in an “active status” throughout the entirety of their Dialysis Therapy.
